Personal Carbon
mytreefrog.com has been created to enable you to make every effort to reduce and offset your CO2 emissions, using the highest quality carbon credits we can obtain.
As a starting point, we have targeted the 3 main producers of CO2 in our private and business lives.
In short, our homes or business premises, our cars and our travel behaviour.
To assist in our goal of helping you move towards carbon neutrality, we will wrap a world class carbon credit equal to 1 tonne of CO2 emission, (or part of) around the product or service you obtain from us.
For example if you switch your gas or electricity supplier (preferably both) with us, you will benefit from knowing that your decision has led to a part of the Brazilian rainforest being maintained, thereby protecting that invaluable environment and its carbon storing qualities.
All you need to do is switch or purchase from our product partners and once we are informed by them that the transaction is complete and any cooling down period has elapsed, we will email you a user name and pass word to the Members Area of the site where we will deposit and display your credit for you. Your Carbon Account will have been opened for you automatically to allow you track your progress to carbon neutrality. Or open your account now!
But the big question is, how much CO2 am I, my family or business, responsible for?
Don’t get too bogged down on this measure as it is difficult to be scientific due to the amount of variables in every day life. Use our on line calculator or work to the averages below based on the big issues in your life such as running your home and car, and if you are still concerned about the accuracy add a tonne to your overall calculation for good measure.
To calculate your Carbon Footprint relevant to our current product range, please use our free, fast and intuitive Carbon Calculator and open a Carbon Account or use the ready reckoner below.
